Game On: Ranked Play is coming to Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II

Competition is in the air and it’s now time for Call of Duty® players to really put their skills to the test.

It’s the season of competition. The Call of Duty League® Major II just saw twelve teams battle it out for a $500K prize (nice win, Atlanta FaZe), and playoff races are heating up all over. 

Now it’s time for Call of Duty® players to amp up their competitive juices with the launch of Ranked Play in Season 02 of Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II.

Ranked Play — Time to Back up the Talk

Starting today, Modern Warfare II players will have the chance to show off their skills for all to see. Presented by Treyarch in partnership with Infinity Ward, and with the support of the CDL, Ranked Play is the official competitive 4v4 Multiplayer experience, utilizing the official rules, restrictions, maps, and modes determined by the CDL.

The game modes: Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, and Control. The maps: Al Bagra Fortress, Breenbergh Hotel, Embassy, Mercado Las Almas, El Asilo, and Zarqwa Hydroelectric.

Win matches to Rank Up and increase your Skill Rating (SR) as you climb through eight total Skill Divisions to reach the top. The best of the best will be featured on the Top 250 Leaderboards for everyone to see. Any CDL pros who reach the Top 250 Leaderboard will additionally have their team affiliation and player profile displayed alongside their ranking. Can you work your way up from the Bronze division to beat out a pro for the #1 Season 02 position?

Compete and Earn Rewards

Through climbing Divisions, ranking up, and completing Seasonal Win Challenges, players will earn in-game rewards to flaunt their skills no matter which game mode they’re in. Competitive themed Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, Emblems, and more are all for the taking…if you can beat out the competition.
