They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, and Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley has needed little else to escape the tactical intensity of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II and repel into the hearts of countless players.

Since his introduction in Modern Warfare 2, the British operative has earned an almost mythological reputation for his successes in the field. But in addition to a knack for covert ops in classified locations, the commanding officer in Captain Price’s Special Task Force 141 is best known for, well, not being known. Other than a skull-figured mask worn at all times, Ghost’s most defining traits have been his chiseled British accent, laser-focus on mission, and trust issues.

As the world’s second-most desired British clandestine operative, Ghost has shared precious few details about his personal history. The undercover operator has long enjoyed the solitude of inserting into high-threat scenarios with little or no support, leaving no backstory behind.

But into the unknown, countless works of fantasy and fan art have been created around the mystery man at the heart of Modern Warfare II. A search on most social platforms for “Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley” and the word “babygirl” will yield a broad study in artistic license by a diverse and passionate fanbase, whose members created the pieces shown here.

About me: [Redacted] That won’t work here, will it? All right. Just another Brit buried by my work. My job is stressful and keeps me on the road, but I appreciate the alone time. I think my team would say I push them, but for good reason. Love a bad joke at a bad time and a good Kentucky Bourbon any time. Highly discreet. Realizing that I can’t save the world alone and learning how to trust.
